Etymology:

The surname 'Koezu' is derived from the Japanese words 'koe' (声) meaning 'voice' and 'zu' (図) meaning figure; additionally, 'zu' can be derived from the word 'zutto' (ずっと) meaning 'constant'.

Yawa's given name is derived from 'yawarakai' (柔らかい) meaning 'soft' to match his gentle base personality and design. 'wa' can additionally be derived from the word 'chowa' (調和) meaning 'harmony'.

The character 安 was chosen for its Mandarin meaning of 'install' to further represent Yawa's non-human state of being.

Appearance:

Depicted as a human-based android, Yawa is presented as a pale, thin, short, androgynous male with black hair containing a rainbow fringe, green eyes with a vibrant green ring around white pupils, yaeba-style canine teeth, and a USB cord tail.
